If you book through the Housing Office of the University of St.Gallen you will benefit in several ways. All the rooms and studios are furnished and the kitchens are all fully equipped.

Arrival in Switzerland

In any case, before you are travelling to Switzerland please check the travel regulations of the Federal Office of Public Health

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic there are special rules for people entering Switzerland. Depending on the type of travel, you might have to fill out an entry form, show proof of a negative test and/or go into quarantine.

Our accommodations

All bedrooms have modern furnishings and offer the following interiors:

Single bed with mattress
wardrobe, desk with chair and table lamp
pillow, duvet and bed linen
  (Benefit: Bedlinen can be given to an external
  company for laundering every two weeks, free
  of charge)

WLAN/WiFi in all rooms

Communal laundry room with washing and tumbler, mostly free of charge

Benefit:
caretaker on hand for minor repairs to properties

Important: Towels are not provided

Kitchens are fully equipped with:
• Cooker and fridge
• Microwave
• Electric Kettle, pans, crockery and cutlery
• Cleaning equipment (hoover, mop, etc.)

Organisational Matters

Housing application
If you want to apply for housing through the University, you must complete the housing application in your Mobility-Online account by the deadline and include a copy of the bank transfer confirmation for the non-refundable application fee of CHF 250.-.

Insurance
The housing office organises a private liability insurance for its students who do not already have one. The insurance covers bodily injury and damages suffered by a third party as a result of your behaviour in your private life. The insurance also covers financial losses where these are attributable to an insured person or property damage.
